About the Role

Are you passionate about ensuring structural integrity and advancing airframe engineering excellence for a next-generation airline?

You will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the continued airworthiness of critical structural systems across our fleet, maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency through proactive monitoring, technical evaluation, and engineering support.

In this role, you will act as the technical authority for ATA Chapters 51-57, reviewing and implementing Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins to ensure full compliance with GACA regulations. You will prepare and issue Engineering Orders for structural inspections, repairs, and modifications, while providing expert technical support to line maintenance and structures teams for complex damage assessments that fall outside approved limits.

You can expect to perform damage assessments using Structural Repair Manuals, develop repair proposals, and liaise directly with Boeing or Airbus for approval documents during scheduled maintenance or AOG situations. You'll maintain aircraft Dent & Buckle Charts, stay informed of global fleet structural issues and latest industry repair techniques, and investigate solutions to enhance dispatch reliability for structural defects across the fleet.

This is a critical role where your technical expertise will directly enhance fleet safety, structural integrity, and Riyadh Air's commitment to world-class operational standards.

About You

Degree qualified in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, you will demonstrate 7+ years of progressive experience as a structures engineer in an airline or MRO technical services/engineering department, with proven expertise in providing technical support during heavy maintenance, structural modifications, and complex repairs for both composite and metallic structures.

You are expected to possess sound knowledge of GACA, FAA, and EASA regulations related to aircraft maintenance and continued airworthiness, with proficiency in interpreting Structural Repair Manuals and production drawings for aircraft types such as B787, A320, and A350. You will bring strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail essential for damage assessment and repair development.

We'd love to hear from you even more if you possess certification in B787 Composite Repair for Engineers, Airbus Composite Repair for Engineers, or Airbus Metallic Repair for Engineers, as well as familiarity with Maintenance Information Systems such as AMOS and proficiency in both English and Arabic.
